Chartered Financial Planner
Peter Ditchburn became a Chartered Financial Planner and was elected a Fellow of the Personal Financial Society in 2014. He graduated in 2007 from Newcastle University where he studied Mathematics and Statistics and has been advising private clients ever since, having won the “Top Rated Adviser” award from Vouched For in both of the last two years.
He is passionate about protecting, preserving and growing the wealth of his client’s families, typically looking after many members of each family to ensure a joined-up approach and to promote open conversations between generations. This usually means giving advice on pensions, investments and trust frameworks.
“I joined Buckingham Gate because it was clear that this is a firm that is well equipped to help clients who often come to us with unnecessarily complex initial situations and wish to create clarity out of chaos. I came from a similarly sized firm where I was the only Chartered adviser to one with the resources to have each report written collaboratively by three Chartered team members. Even today we are the only firm I know of which does that. The level of pride in the work the team does is astonishing and is reflected in the enjoyment our team and our clients take from being part of the community.”
Peter is a keen diver, a qualified yacht skipper and an occasional amateur actor. He lives in Bromley with his American wife, Alexa, who moved to the UK in February 2020- just weeks before the first Covid-19 lockdown.
